My 6 years old son yesterday said “Gosh, I hate girls” after having a fight with his sister. My husband IMMEDIATELY loaded him into the car and took him to the nearest DV shelter and asked the staff and management there if our son could have a conversation with every lady in the shelter. Apparently, they sat him down and my son listened to a few of those women’s stories, and what their partners did to them and at the end, my husband explained to our son that those women were forced to be in that facility, for their safety because there were men out there that hated them and wanted to harm them and how dangerous it is for a man to feel hate towards women. I didn’t even know this had happened, I only found out after I got back from work.

I’m GEN X and no kids. People in these comments keep blaming millennials which is insane. Years ago No one came out at any time and said - “hey giving your children access to social media at early ages is going to alter their brains and turn them into monsters.” That was not a thing. In fact it was the opposite. It was all new at that time. The science wasn’t there. Those kids were the experiment. Even schools took it upon themselves to get rid of textbooks and go laptops because at the time everything digital was being pushed. Giving your toddlers iPads to watch learning shows was considered normal and good parenting only a few years ago. Giving your kids tech was seen as giving them a leg up to feel comfortable in this new tech world. You all have zero hindsight. In the 80s we had the “tv rots your brain” message. That message was never implemented for millennials on anything tech and children. Only NOW in the last two years have people started to realize tech at a young age is bad. Now yall are blaming millennials instead of blaming the TECH COMPANIES WHERE THE BLAME BELONGS.
