@danimullenaux: This didn’t happen overnight. My fitness journey started over 12 years ago, and after having my son, I had to rebuild all over again. The best decision I ever made was to stop looking for quick results and start focusing on the basics: lifting consistently, progressive overload, whole foods, and patience. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to keep showing up. 💪 #FitnessJourney #FitOver40 #PostpartumFitness #FitMom #StrengthTraining

MADDY ✨ :
Your arms are so cut! Other than a clean diet, do you lift heavy weights for cut arms or lighter weights with more reps ?

The news cycle is really heavy at the moment, I’m torn between wanting to use this platform to help people stay informed so that we can be aware of what’s happening and fight for positive change, and not wanting to scare people. I’m aware that one of the great things about social media is the opportunity to escape the scary world outside. On a personal level, I also find myself feeling terrified and exhausted. But I also read that this exhaustion is exactly what fascism depends on. They want us to look the other way, and do nothing. So if you’re feeling scared or overwhelmed by the news, I thought I’d share some of the things I do: ☕️Take a break when you need to. Honestly, taking a break is healthy - we can’t pour from an empty cup. There’s been various times I retreat from the news because I can’t handle it - I might be dealing with things in my personal life and I can’t handle it. ⏳on that note, set limits! Choose specific times to check the news instead of scrolling endlessly. 📰 choose where you get your news! I find listening to The Trawl, the Rest is Politics, or even following accounts like Saint Hoax on here help me to consume news with a side of humour and empathy. User too: avoid X! 🤪 🌳Practice grounding: honestly this might sound a bit hippy but it works! Take a walk, meditate, or journal to bring yourself back to the present moment. 💪 I’ve started running and doing exercise again too because it helps me to funnel my anxiety and anger into something positive. 🧘‍♀️Focus on what you can control: Channel your energy into small, meaningful actions in your community or personal life. For me it could be making donations to charities, speaking up on This Morning or on my platform, signing petitions, writing to my MP. 👯‍♀️Connect: Talk it out with friends, family, or a therapist. You’re not alone. And don’t forget to have fun! I shared that George Orwell quote and I love it, so I’ll share again: “They Fear Love Because It Creates A World They Cant Control.” - George Orwell Remember, it’s not selfish to prioritize your peace. You’re allowed to take care of you so that you’re strong enough to fight for others. 🌿✨ #fyp
