I lived and grew up in the Gambia, I was almost forced to go through FGM. The only way I got away with it is I ran away from home and hide on the day they were meant to take all the girls to the village and cut them. Then I managed to call my father with the help of a woman who took pity on me, although my father who was abroad at the time. He was against it, and he put a stop to it. Thank God for my father 🙏
