Let’s normalize having conversations about finance and have it not be uncomfortable. I’m on the outside looking in and I think it’s TOTALLY worth it. This hands on experience is going to to put you so far in front of everyone else for future internships and jobs.

Sometimes as an intern, or as an unpaid or underpaid intern it’s SO easy to lose sight of just how fortunate we truly are to have a position. The market for jobs and internships is so hard and having one can set you up for so much success in finding a future job just because of the resume builder. Breaking even is SO worth it!

Julia considering your following and engagement you should be making enough from social media that you shouldnt even go into your savings or having the salary be a deal breaker!! Make sure you look at avg rates and charge what you are worth!!

i broke even for my internship after graduation in nyc too and it was actually the best decision ever because I got hired full time right after I left and was making the most money out of anyone in the company (startup) because of how great I was in person!!!! it can def be 1000% worth
