i assume the documentation of Adams house stems from the fact his hard drive was wiped, they most likely wanted to check all spots for possible extras (it is typical for predators to have hidden hard drives), as well as to look and see if there were any extra details about the attack itself (maps, writings, etc). Every single perps3house is documented for this reason, every room and object, but Adams was requested by the public fast enough that the police did not gave time to delete their photos (meaning they HAD to release them). There is also a couple extra things (like the conspiracies and ryans involvement) that meant they'd have more reasons to keep all the pictures around to see if anything could prove them.
