my dad had a bad accident a couple years ago and so I had to help with the everyday care. when I started cooking for him, I had to bring all my spices over and he saw me using paprika and he thought it was gonna be spicy (for reference, he can't even handle medium tostitos salsa 🙄) I think they associate red tones with spicy 😂 🤦♀️
