So, in the military when you're overwhelmed, they taught us to "shrink our focus". What's today have to be, or the next hour, or just the next minute sometimes, but shrink your brain's aperture as a mechanism when it's literally too much. From there as a parent, especially while they're young, they are gonna demand your time and you're obviously a good mom, so you'll dig in for them inherently. Try to add yourself to the mix and look for "intentional whimsy" as in, windows or minutes or even just moments where you do something for yourself or let yourself get lost in a hyper focus. For me, what recharges me is actually learning and research. What looks like work to others (when I do it on MY own interests) invigorates and inspires me. From there, I would say let the time for you be the micro reward and the payoff pile up. As in, I may go down a rabbit hole and learn something real quick, but not have time to act on it, BUT, if I let it bounce around in the back of my head during times I'm not slammed, when I do get to sit down and do something about it, I'm actually better prepared and creative with it b/c that delayed processing as synthesized that thought or question into a deeper understanding by then.
