think of the earth instead of one big ball it's two spheres, the atmosphere and the terrain sphere. we are on the terrain sphere that includes all water, land, mountains, valleys, and deep enough to the earth center. the atmosphere is the clouds and the sky. we are being held by gravity. the earth stretches many miles, think of it like an ant on a beach ball, it's small enough ball that the end is visible. (the sphere) now think of an ant on a big stadium dome, or the las Vegas sphere. the ant is tiny compared to it, so it's eyes cannot see the end. We can use this metaphor for us. on reality, we are even bigger scale than ants since earth would be more massive than that. When we're on earth, we are on a little section of a mile. so we can barely tell.

Completely false - lighthouses can only be seen for 20 miles or so. If the earth actually was flat they could be seen for hundreds of miles 👍

if the earth is flat you should be able to stand on the beach in Hawaii and see Mount Everest with a high powered telescope but you can't do that. how do you explain that?
