As a 5’1 woman who has never cared about a man’s height, mine is fetishized. Everytime I tell a man my height he says how much he loves “how tiny” I am. It grosses me out.

Not to play the devil's advocate but I feel like it would be important to discuss WHY short men feel insecure about their height. It's good that you're not one of those who care about height, but I don't think that's representative of the majority of women. Short men being body shamed is still so normalized and I've even seen many women treating short men like sub humans simply for being short. So I think it makes sense for men to feel more secure in themselves next to shorter women, even if it doesn't truly solve the problem. Imo they could use some body positivity

As a 4’10 girl, its a fetish for them its so annoying. They treat you like a child and don’t take you seriously and want to wear you as an accessory for their masculinity. It sucks because even guys 5’3 has done this to me and thats closer to my height than a 6’2 guy

Men prefer “slightly shorter women”. Maybe 2-3 inches. However, women prefer men significantly taller, 6+ inches. That’s why seeing a 5’3” women with a 6ft tall man looks awkward. For reference my wife is 3 inches shorter than me, I’m 5’7”, she’s 5’4”. And AGAIN, most 5’4” women would not date 5’7” men. That’s the issue.

I am 5‘7 the amount of times men who are just as tall as I am or even a little taller than me told me that they’d be interested in me if I were shorter is crazy. So yeah obviously I ended up with a guy who’s 6‘4 because he isn’t whining that I’m too tall. I wouldn’t care if a guy is shorter than me. But they care.
