Brightspeed has an ai system that clears out their own tickets. If it thinks nothings there then it doesn’t generate a ticket for locators. Not to defend bright speed, as a locator I can confirm, brightspeed is trash

hey Brian, speed took it on themselves. the remote scan their tickets. when it gets hit let them complain. they only got themselves to blame.

Had brightspeed do similar to me a few years back. Told us it was clear no conflict. We saw their ped right where we needed to bore. Called em again still said nothing there. We drilled it anyway wrapped up 900ft of their fiber. They show up and told us they didnt know they had fiber out there yet.

Locator for Brightspeed here✋🏻 the reason it came back clear no conflict is due to Brightspeeds stupid AI system which doesn’t detect that there’s actually Brightspeed in the area so the ticket got screened!! As long as you have the confirmation saying clear‼️you’re legally allowed to dig and if you hit the cables then you are 100% covered and Brightspeed will pay for that damage! Or if you’re worried about it just call in a incorrect locate and a locator will be out there within 2 hours!

brightspeed doesn’t locate copper lines anymore unless it’s a huge cable. they stopped paying to have it done due to cost. we get cut cables every other day because of it and they simply just don’t care and expect us to fix it.

Don’t quote me but according to my knowledge in some areas a lot of the brightspeed copper is out of service and abandoned in place

We cut bright speed in Alabama for 3weeks straight and they never showed to locate so we said the hell with them and install our new fiber 😂😂😂😂😂😂

A lines could be abandoned, happens all the time. B as most people stated most telecom companies pre screen tickets. If a line isn’t in the dig zone or is shown as aerial then they take themselves off the ticket to not pay the locating company. ATT did this in my area along a highway. Everyone knew there was a very important fiber that fed a stock market further down the line. But since ATT showed the area as being out of market they always took themselves off it. We kept telling our management here there’s a fiber here and we marked it a few times as a favor. Eventually our management said F it let em find out the hard way. And they did. Company doing a new mater main bore found it. I’m sure heads rolled after that.
