My Muslim parents let me move to a different country to build my future when I was only 18. Anyone who really is a true a Muslim wouldn’t limit their daughter from getting a great education or discourage her from building her own career if that’s what she wants. Those who disagree with it I feel like only see women as slaves and fear seeing a fulfilled happy woman.

AFAIK it’s traveling alone that’s the issue (opinions vary on this) but living alone is technically halal although Islam generally (not a rule, and different situations need to be taken into account) discourages both males and females living alone. Contrary to what Salafis tend to say, nothing in the Sharia prohibits a woman from living alone. I do think done right it can teach you a lot about yourself and being independent, which is awesome. But it’s only good if you have a good Islamic base and can control yourself from falling into bad deeds.

Are y’all okay? Did they miss the part about “STUDENT VISA”. Even I’ve heard sheikhs have said hey if it’s a safe place and your going for a purpose like work or education it’s fine, and if it’s far like another country someone can go with you to drop you there and then come back. People make Islam difficult for themselves and others for no reason.
