I missed 2 of my bestfriend’s birthdays because my parents won’t let me leave the house. A close friend of mine held a farewell get together today because he’s moving out the country and I wasn’t able to go because my parents won’t let me leave. My friend needed emotional support the other day and I wasnt allowed to go see her. I have to sit here and watch everyone my age have fun and be free. I feel like a horrible friend when I’m unable to attend to people and most of the time they think I’m trolling when I say I can’t go out because “I’m too old to have my parents dictate my social life”. I’m finishing up my 12th year of highschool. I’ll be done with highschool in November. I just feel like my teenage years were wasted and I’m actively losing friends because of it
