Hasn’t happened on my own car, but I did once accidentally open the passenger door of a stranger’s car. Unfortunately it didn’t occur to me at the time to check their evaporator temperature sensor. Hope they’re ok. 😢

I adjust my AC and airflow by adjusting how many windows I have up/down and the speed I'm going.

With my car, I will have to remove the dashboard panel as the sensor is situated on top of the heater box under the dashboard. Above my pay grade.
