I always swore I would never stay if cheated on, but I’ve learned in all my years to never say never… I did not stay because I was weak, stupid, or needing him financially. I stayed in huge part because he did these 6 things…And almost 4 years later I have zero regrets! 1. He was not an asshole before this happened or after he got caught. He was the best man I knew. Loved me deeply. Put me on a pedestal. Was completely devoted to our family. He had unhealed wounds driving choices that contradicted who he actually was at his core. 2. He took full accountability with full radical transparency. When I found out one thing…his heart led him to disclose everything. Things I would probably never have discovered otherwise. He came clean on all of it. Even though it was painful for both of us. 3. He dove headfirst into his own healing journey. He got to the root causes of why he was capable of those choices. Never shied away from the uncomfortable inner work. He figured it out and he did it. 4. He never ran from anything. He told me he would spend the rest of his life making it right…even if I chose to walk away. He fought for me and most importantly for the man he wanted to become. 5. He always held me in my anger and pain without getting defensive or shutting down. Every boundary…every request…every hard question…he showed up every single time. Almost four years later he is the most loyal…authentic…grounded divine masculine man I know. 6. He never rushed my healing. He gave me the space to focus entirely on myself while he focused on himself. We both understood that individual healing had to come before we could heal as a couple. I trust his promise because he puts action behind his words. Every single day. This decision is not for everyone. But it was mine to make. And I am so grateful I made it.
