I’m Chinese. In China, some snack manufacturers add a variety of food additives to extend the shelf life of their products. Therefore, when choosing snacks, be sure to check the expiration date carefully: the shorter the shelf life, the better the taste tends to be; the longer it is, the less appetizing it usually becomes. For packaged bread in particular, try to opt for options with a shelf life of seven to fifteen days.

I think your vid is the opposite of pointless - it says no claims can be made about either country's ability to do these snacks, and you have to go on a case by case basis. also , it means your vid is worth revisiting when anyone needs to check the case by case.

That Ferrero probably went bad because the one I ate was soft too, with a layer of chocolate sauce inside - it wasn't dry at all.

Chocolate can easily go bad if stored incorrectly, that doesn't even mean *you* stored it incorrectly, it often happens during shipping. I've learned a bit about chocolate when I was taking a pastry class, there can be reactions with the oil, the sugar, issues with both too low or too high temperatures, but I forgot most of it (lol 😅) so I can't help with exactly what happened but it being harder and sort of whiter/grayer is one of the signs of improper storing! It doesn't mean it isn't safe to consume but it's just... not that good anymore lol

I think it’s because China bands a lot of food additives probably why the color was lighter and the taste wasn’t right as all the color and flavor additives where missing

as someone who’s Oma would always sent chocolate to us in australia from germany - it neverrrr tasted right after being on a plane, was always hard and crumbly after being posted

I think biscoff was a draw because it was not even a British snack, it originates from Belgium. I also remember as a child, most of my british friends didn't know what that was, and only certain stores sold it at one point (usually the stores or cafes owned by someone who came from another European country.) as my mother who Italian would buy it when she found it, and we'll have it with our morning tea. (she prefers tea over coffee.) and would often tell me how Italians would have it in the morning with coffee. 💕

Digestives are my all time favourite. I went travelling for a year when I was younger and the very first thing I did when I got home was have digestives and tea, can’t beat it! 😊
