As a music listener and AVID enthusiast I would much rather a song someone wrote and put out based on their own experiences. Even if it sounds “similar” there’s still a uniqueness to the lyrics. An ai prompt song is both reliant on enough BACKGROUND knowledge of that genre of music as well as STEREOTYPICAL lyrics for that genre. Meanwhile actual artists are popping out bluegrass/punk/emo hybrids of music that aren’t just real but I can hear HOW real they are. Why would I choose recycled bs when that exists???

AI doesn’t have a complex brain like we do, it simply cannot understand and feel emotions. Writing music, drawing, etc all very much has some piece of emotion that gets involved in a persons work. AI can imitate those expressions, but it doesn’t experience the feelings that inspire them.

None of the things you mentioned are even my problem with it. (Though all valid points). But… Ai STEALS from real artists. Like sure you put in a prompt and “make a song” but it is actually tiny pieces of OTHER songs people have ALREADY created. Plagiarism?? 😩
