As a girl dad, this validates a lot of tea parties and pretend hair salon trips. Ts matters

When I first told my parents that I was going to be a pagan instead of the non-denominational Christian they raised me and my older sister to be, the next week he brought home a whole bunch of crystals he had seen. I was 14. He would also hang out with me at the bookstore even though he wasn't a reader
He is the reason my standards are so high

My 13 year old daughter does musical theater. I drive her 26 miles each way for this activity weekly because she wants dad to drive “because he lets me pick the music and sings along”. It’s not hard guys. She’s the most important woman in your life. Treat her that way.

When in middle school I told my daughter to try everything and tell me what she picked. She did, and landed on volleyball. She was barely 5ft. I became an expert in volley6in one summer, even got certified as a ref and line judge. I became a real volleyball dad, bit for the entire team, because not all of the players had someone to have their back. They are all adults with advanced degrees now, but they still make time to connect whenever they are in town. I love all of my girls!

My dad walked next to me in a beauty pageant was at every single competition and game when I was a majorette, took me to see my favorite artist when I was 11. I had the best dad as a kid, in the same breath at sat right beside him screaming at the TV during an eagles game! Literally my best friend! We still sit and watch the eagles except I do way more if the screaming now ahaha

I do gymnastics with my granddaughter. I’ve also painted her nails. She tried painting mine, but got bored.

My dad went with me to the nail salon and we would talk sports there in the pedicure chairs. It’s really that easy guys!

My dad forces his love of golf on me when I was 11. my dad lived vicariously through me because I got really good at it and won some local tournaments and became an assistant pro at our private club. When I decided to quit at 23, because it wasn’t what I wanted to do anymore, our relationship changed and did a 180 turn. We hardly talk anymore and I’m 49 now.

My step dad is spectacular but my bio dad traumatized me this way. When I was 7 he took me hunting & I was just happy he wanted to take me with him & then he got a dove and it was flapping on the ground & he screamed at me to the pull the head off bc it was suffering & so I did it & have never gotten over it.....

When I was like 5 I told my dad golf seemed boring and so he just ✨never attempted to meaningfully engage with me or my interests ever again✨

My dad played dress up with me and took me to NSYNC concerts etc etc etc in the 90s. He used to sit and watch greys anatomy with my mom and me too. A real one before the internet even pressured him to be. 😭 he set the bar high for real. It makes me SICK to see what society’s bar for men is today!

My daughter and I have matching nails every month and she’s 22 at this point. Also she got floor seats at the Eras tour both nights in AZ not to mention Billie Eilish so some times positive things can happen. Daughters are amazing. (Kelly Clarkson needs to be more famous)

I played softball as a kid. When my dad found out I was playing it, he taught me how to bat. He came to more games than my mom did. When I expressed an interest in his working on the cars, he explained what he was doing so that no one would ever take advantage of me. He never pushed his interests on me.

So blessed that my dad is actually a weird little critter who doesn’t care about sports or fishing or stereotypical Guy Shit. We did music of all kinds together, gardening, astronomy and science experiments. He generally just seemed to enjoy watching me growing into my own person, what a crazy concept 🌈🌷

My dad couldn't be bothered to do girly stuff so now I can renovate a house from top to bottom and had to spend thousands in therapy bills. 😭

my husband has a whole sleeve of Manga line drawings that is just the line work so our youngest can color them in, she paints his nails and then they play Mario kart together wearing their matching pink Hello Kitty shirts. it's not hard. he loves being a girl dad and I love watching the way he loves them
