I just had to let someone go because she refused to go into one of our offices to work while her internet was turned on at her new place. We’re fully remote, and paid hourly, but you can work any 8 hours you want from 8am-8pm, but if you’re without internet for more than 3 days you have to go into the office to work. Everyone knows this rule when they interview. She said it was unreasonable to expect her to come in to office for a fully remote job. She already had three paid days, they’re not her own PTO hours, and still couldn’t be bothered. It was ridiculous.

Libraries are open. I go to my local library to get things notarized. You’re exactly right - they had to chase her down to get the completed paperwork and she still failed to do it correctly. They definitely realized she would not do a thorough job.
