from my experience (I also have a bf now). Yes people will hit on you more and be more mature about it HOWEVER be careful. A lot of people will hook up with a fat girl, but not want to date one

as a plus size girl in college it VERY much depends on where you are and what college you go to.. for example i go to college by the beach.. so.. but super honestly a lot of the times if you hit on a guy and talk to them (atleast where i am) they aren’t going to be mean to you (lowkey unless they are in a group no shade) they are probably either going to be like yeah sure (a lot of guys in reality do not care) or politely decline i have to this day have not gotten rejected but that’s because i do not seek what i cannot reach and i know how to pick my battles NO SHADE

ugh i wish I could say I had the same experience. I went to ASU and every single girl there was 120lb or smaller. I saw 3 other fat girls my entire time there. People weren't outright rude per say but everyone acted like I didn't exist

I’m a big girl, and I haven’t had a friend since 5th grade. It’s sort of on me for being so quiet but wtv. I really hope I make friends in college. I’m also hoping to work on my weight, so I hope to find people who will support me and hit the gym with me. 😅

I was plus sized in college (really my entire childhood through age 21) - I grew up in a very small town in NJ and I went to UMiami, so my experience was positive I think because my hometown was homogenous and Miami is obviously so diverse, the contrast was crazy to me - once I was in Miami, I used dating apps and kept an open mind! And did activities which tend to attract an array of people, like theater. I feel like my dating life was better back then lol, the guys I attracted liked me for me. After weight loss, I feel like men don’t really care to get to know me and discard once they’re bored lol

As someone who’s plus sized as well Ive never been pursued by anyone before, i joined our esports club my freshman year because i love video games and they are my special interest! It introduced me to the sweetest man who was very respectful the whole pre-relationship process and continues to go above and beyond every single day I’m with him. My honest advice is to not be scared when someone approaches you in college wanting to go out, majority of men are mature enough not to mess with your emotions. Just trust your gut and give people a chance despite your internal worries that have plagued you for so long ❤️
