Fifa suspended Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri at the 2018 World Cup for celebrating goals with traditional Albanian celebrations against Serbia (both guys were playing for Switzerland but are ethnic Albanians who were victims of Serbian genocide)... if that is the standard then these Argentinian players should get massive suspensions, but they won't

I only know about 독도 because some troll once typed the name the Japanese use for it in the chat of the Korean host I was a moderator for. I immediately felt there was something not right about the way they dropped that name in the chat, so a quick Google search later, I muted and blocked them... But yeah, if political statements are forbidden, the same rules should apply equally to every team.

As an English person who lived in Korea, the two cases are very different but also similar in some ways. Dokdo is Korea, and the Falklands are British. If the Korean player got punished for the sign, so should the Argentinians, but we known FIFA will never allow that
