The best part of Tahoe is slowing down to experience the vibe. It's sad seeing tourists with checklists rolling up to the Instagram places, taking their photos, and leaving. I've lived in/near my whole life and haven't seen all the things. You'll really experience Tahoe if it's not a checklist

Hike cave rock at sunset. If you’re not feeling like a whole hike you can drive a good portion of the way up and then there’s a short walking path and then climbing up the rock. Monkey beach.

Also there’s like a rail car ride in south lake. Gondola ride. You can bike (rentals) down north star in truckee also, during the off season.

Go to Truckee, visit Boca Reservoir! So pretty. Not overly populated.
