Palworld is inspired by a variety of games and is at the level pokemon should have been. it surpasses pokemon and it is def not a pokemon game at all. has a really fun game loop. borrows from botw zelda (stamina bar, open world), dark souls (dungons rougelike), and before ark there was Rust (survival sandbox, crafting, base building, online.) and yes any pokemon game hasn't been as good as palworld because of Nintendo.

I’ve been a lifelong pokemon fan, used to collect the cards, had some of the movies on vhs, I love palworld, more then anyyyyyyy Pokémon game, in all fairness I love survival games, but palworld is amazing

I played the game in The Early Access and it felt like a pokémon game mixed with Ark. came back a few years later and tried it again recently and holy shit, it's a super solid game my only complaint is the building is kind of limited. I would love a bigger variety of Base building items
