When my mom had Alzheimer’s, we talked about a lot of superficial things. But I still talk to her about my life and issues. She was still a good listener, even though she could not understand.

I'm recently diagnosed and I'm 59. It's scary and difficult trying to make plans and find doctors that will take good care of me. I lost my job because of this and my sick leave runs out in early August. No more paychecks, so now Im working on getting social security disability. I couldn't work with an attorney because she talked too fast for my brain to keep up. Even when you try to explain your shortcomings, people just don't get it.

I’m in the exact same boat as you. My mom was diagnosed at 59. Things took a turn for the worst at 62, shes 64 now. She has been living a care facility now for 1.5 years. The state of constant grief is so heavy. I would call her everyday on the way home from work. I miss her so much.

I am 64. my mom is 84. lewy body is her diagnosis. i am so sorry you feel what I feel and you are so much younger. the hardest 2 things so far are what you describe. the absence of the nightly phone calls. when I feel down and I can't call her to cheer me up anymore.i can mot share my joys with her or my sorrows so like now I scroll and cry. the other is when mom knows she is confused can't find her words etc and she crys and I can not make it better for her. we are in such a difficult loop right now. i miss her so much. hugs and love to you

Peace and love- you are not alone- we are there too, my wifes sister at 60.. diagnosed and at 65 shes not doing well but we pray for her, love her and keep her day as consistent as possible - thank you for loving her

she'll remember even thought she can't tell you. Her eyes says it all. I work with Early Onset Dementia patients and see what the families don't. Just love her 💝 play music, dance but don't push it. She'll remember in different ways
