When my grandpa passed, in his obituary, it said survived by and named someone named Eric. I have no one in my family named Eric. So I looked at my uncle Rick and said “who the fuck is Eric” and he goes “….uh me?” Turns out his real name is Eric but everyone has always called him Rick. I was 19 when I found out 🙃
