make him pay child support & cut ties completely you have proof he’s absent and he focussed having another kid while he can’t take care of his first kid , make him pay his part and let you’re husband keep being a good father figure for your daughter , the court will definitely be on you’re side

Don't force a relationship if he doesn't want it. It's better to cut ties bc it's just hurting her and it's just going to be filled with more disappointments. One day he may or may not come back to your daughters life and that would be her decision wether she takes him back. Men always come back especially once the kid is older and usually it's for selfish reasons 😭.

Do not break your back to keep a connection. You get to protect who has the privilege of a relationship with your daughter. I also find that it is best to be honest with your children. Do not keep telling her he is working because you are protecting him now and not her. I know you see it is backfiring on you. I will highly suggest you get her in family counseling now. It will help her SO much. Once she is back in school, you can even reach out to her school counselor for help or suggestions. I work at an elementary school and we actually have a licensed therapist that takes appointments at our school so parents do not need to take their kids out of school for weekly appointments. There are a lot of options!

kinda sounds like my story what I did is cut all ties period my husband has been there father figure since they were 2 and 3 for 6 years now best thing I ever did .

Coming from someone’s who’s dad did the same thing to me n my siblings ,as much as it hurts you let her go through it it helps us grow as a person as well and helps us appreciate our moms more yes it hurt me sm but it also helped me mentally I grew up not depending on others to do everything myself but ofc I always have my mom by my side just incase your doing a good job momma but again the decision is yours I just wanted to give opinion since it happened to me as well my dad left when I was 4 made a whole new family n we have no contact till this day ,but I do have a dad it’s my mom bc she plays both roles🫶

when my son was that age he asked if his dad left because he hated him. it still makes me cry! now he's 17, he knows what kind of person his dad is and he has the best step dad ever. his dad is still a touchy subject but therapy helped

I would tell her there’s a babysitter and with you ( the daughter) taking step here has a lot to do but instead of taking little steps we should take steps back to the first step which is just having small talk with daughter and father and until her father takes steps you can take the step with him
