He left me on the phone because he didn’t want me to know he had gone out with his friend that night. Later that night, he died in a car accident. So the whole time I thought he fell asleep w me on the phone until I woke up and I kept calling his name out on the ft and he was wasn’t responding

I used to hug my brother three times every time I said goodbye, and I would always go back for one last kiss. I was incredibly superstitious, always acting as if it could be the last time I saw him. The day before he died, for the first time in my life, I only gave him one hug. I remember telling myself, “Stop being so superstitious. Just give him one hug and go home.” He passed away the next day. RIP brother 💙
