people trying to justify it by saying "its a simple motif anyone should have made" or "its just a coincidence" like yea, big coincidence that these two peices of media both about the odyssey have the exact same motif. this motif is so much bigger than EPIC, it have millions of streams on Spotify, but also millions of uses on socials. you cannot look up media on the odyssey without hearing it. you cant look up media on greek mythology without hearing it. you cant look up edits from various fan bases without hearing it. this is a huge move with researchers in every department, they ABSOLUTELY ripped off EPIC. there is no justifying it.

i HIGHLY doubt christopher nolan himself was in on this, especially when nolan himself practically says hes chronically offline, but the composer, ludwig göransson, i'd imagine couldve took inspiration from epic, i think that is why he wasnt credited, it wasn't nolan's idea

I agree that it’s a simple motif that could easily have been made by 2 people coincidentally, especially if it’s based on Greek chromatic scales (according to another comment) but also the people working on this movie must have done research on modern depictions of the odyssey and come across the extremely popular musical series and its extremely well-known motif. They probably should have just gone “ah well they already used that one let’s come up with something slightly different”. I find it hard to believe they were completely unaware of EPIC for long enough for the music to be unchangeable
