1. odysseus says “do you talk to ants?” extrapolate on that. the cyclops isn’t concerned with ants killing him, or trying to escape. they’re an easy snack. 2. he can hear? presumably he can feel his way around an enclosed space, he knows where the exit is because he can feel it. he can chase them down to the beach because he can hear the sheep and the men shouting. 3. they distinctly show one of the soldiers wiping the blood off the sword as he pulls it back out. 4. it is directly stated that Sinon did it in exchange for his father to be paid well. but Ant went back on his word and never paid his father. are they brothers? No. 5. Yes. he purposefully scarred her so that she wouldn’t be “stolen” again. 6. it is purposefully ambiguous. if you’re familiar with the story, you go in expecting that to be athena. when it’s revealed in the later act that it’s actually the memory of a priestess he allowed to be slaughtered haunting him, that is supposed to be a major plot twist. it plays into Nolan’s theme of the gods not speaking to mortals but instead “speaking” through actions. Athena does not talk to him, but uses the memory of a girl he feels guilty over to “speak” to him and remind him of what he’s done. 7. watch it again. 8. all of the suitors and traitors are slaughtered.

If you watch closely, one of the warriors inside the horse wipes the sword as the Trojan warrior pulls the sword out, then you can see him looking at the sword seeing no blood

the reason sinon went to war was because Antinous basically bribed sinons family, you see antinous’ father say that he will pay sinons family to allow antinous to stay, and as their family is relatively important to Ithica, odysseus agrees, however antinous and his family never honor that promise and it leads to sinons father dying poor, which sinon tells odysseus when they reach the underworld

Odysseus was the only one to wrap the bow around his leg to string, that i saw, which is a real technique for stringing a compound bow.

When a bow is unstrung it curves the opposite way since when using a bow it uses the tension of the wood bending to launch an arrow. So in order to string a bow you have to bend it the other way so the bow string causes tension in order to launch an arrow otherwise the string would hang loosely and be totally ineffective. So for example you wouldn’t just put a string on the top like in this image you would instead bend the bow in order for it to be the proper way like on the bottom.

Odysseus cleaned the blade with a rag as he was pulling the blade back out. Yes, he told him to switch and he would $$$ his father. So he went to war bc he thought his father would be taken care of. That’s why he tells Odysseus that his father died a beggar and was the first person to met him in hades.

Treat strangers kind bc they could be gods in disguise. So yes Odysseus sees her as Athena. It’s up to you to decide, are the gods not real and this is just PTSD. Or is she really Athena proving the long standing custom. It’s meant to work as both imo.

in the original story they drugged him with a wine that puts him to sleep and they have an actual conversation and the reason why Poseidon knows it’s them is because Odysseus gets an ego and announces who he is to the cyclops

Cyclops have bad vision since they only have one eye, so when the warriors got out of the fire light, they were pretty hidden from it. And they wiped the blood off the sword before he pulled it out of the horse.
