@rachel.coclea: ENG — I feel like a huge part of painting with watercolor is simply... waiting. Don’t you? 😂 Waiting for the water to sink in. Waiting for the shine to disappear from the paper. Waiting for that short window where the paper is damp enough to soften the pigment, but not so wet that it spreads everywhere. And because I record most of my painting sessions, I tape my board to my desk so it doesn’t budge. Which also means I can’t lift it to check the shine like most people would 😂 Does it ever feel like you spend forever waiting for the paper to be ready? 😆 FR —J’ai l’impression qu’une grande partie de l’aquarelle, c’est simplement... attendre. Pas toi ? 😂 Attendre que l’eau pénètre dans le papier. Attendre que la brillance disparaisse. Attendre ce petit moment où le papier est assez humide pour adoucir le pigment, mais pas au point qu’il se diffuse partout. Et comme je filme presque toutes mes séances de peinture, je fixe ma planche au bureau avec du ruban adhésif pour qu’elle ne bouge pas. Tried to work on 4 pieces so i can circle back on the first one already dry, and it was in summer. Didnt work. Just ended up more impatient.

Why not work on 5 at a time, with each one offset by 10-15 minutes so that you less "downtime" and are 5x more efficient?

That’s why I love my hair drier with a diffuser. I can also adjust the temperature and speed too. Absolutely beautiful painting!!

I do this and then mess around too much and it gets too dry 😂 like an avocado where it’s only good for 0.3 seconds.
