They are genuinely useless most Work coaches will all tell you the same thing change around your CV. They even recommend using AI to help build one now and if you come to the end of a three month probationary period on UC they basically change your appointments to every two weeks and they don’t care if you get a job or not and they just pass you over to a recruitment agency which is mandatory and they do the same thing nothing it’s just a trap going on universal credit it’s just a loop that is incredibly difficult to get out of especially if you’re genuinely someone looking for a job because some cases not myself personally, but other people might have to tell an employer that they’ve claimed jobseekers and they might just turn them away because of that

These days feel really dark. It feels like we’ve never had the support we actually needed. Instead of helping us find stable jobs, we’re often just sent from one class to another without real opportunities or meaningful support.

Because of 14 years of conservative rule they don’t help people. Instead you gotta go out there & apply. It forced me to go self employment route as I had skills to start my business. More jobs should be created.

when I went to uc they told me they do group things where they help people apply for jobs and they give you 1 job usually a week to apply for

They don’t even help with UC, I was seen as earning too much when I’m literally struggling every month!! 🤦🏼♀️

Was on uc between 2024-25 (only came off it because of uni) I was 18, they sent me to one of the training course picking sessions, the ones where you tick off which course u wanna do. Then they got back to me a couple of weeks later and said “yeah, you can’t do the one you want as it’s 19+, and it’s for people out of education”. I asked if there was another one I could do, nope, they were all 19+. They are completely useless.

if you get stuck in the UC loop it's rough and usually you have to climb out yourself, now it's true that it's much easier with support from family / friends. I ended up going self-employed
