Ya my chocolate lab comes from a long line of a breed that was watching the horses while they were watching the moose but my lab likes to eat rocks.

Not completely sure you explained as “learned culture “ horses are native to the americas. It’s a very interesting story because the propagated through the world while they got extinct in the Americas. May be this is an old instinct behavior
