As soon as we scored, the players drop instantly deep, before even the water break. Tuchel made changes after he saw us dropping deeper and deeper. Either that was the game plan, or the players did it.

I think they don’t back off immediately after the goal really, they are still pressing, but after Argentina gets a chance or two, and then they get scared and drop off. I actually think the first defensive sub was 100% right, but you have to communicate to the players this is not us parking the bus, we still want to attack, this is just to remedy a specific problem with how they’re progressing on the left, and with the lack of attacking subs im just not sure he’s done that

I mean a penguin could relize that parking the bus against the greatest player and playmaker in history would go bad, they fell back because of strategies that have been spoke about before the game, strategies the players went along with so its both parties fault👍

Argentina has shown to be a team who never gives up they play with heart thinking you will be able to hold a 1-0 against them. No goalkeeper can save a game if they are being peppered by balls + 10 england players blocking view of the ball
