first mistake is thinking communism means "we all work together and shit rainbows" when it is really "the government controls every aspect of your life and distributes EVERYTHING and it most certainly does not do it fairly".. it's a political system not a societal one.

После революции хозяйство моего прадеда, над которым он работал долгие годы, разграбили коммунисты, а за то, что он оказал сопротивление его сослали в Сибирь, где он каким то чудом выжил и кое как вернулся домой. Уже позже, в 60х-70х знакомых, родственников и друзей моих дедов ссылали в дурки, если они высказывались против власти. Полки в магазинах городов поменьше чаще всего были пусты. Мне рассказывали, как моя бабушка могла позволить себе колбасу только на свадьбы или Новый год и то, только благодаря связям. Перед распадом все погрузились в большую нищету чем раньше, а на заводах платили товаром, а не деньгами. И это лишь малая часть ужасов ссср
