He says "indistinguishable" from a world with free will, but thats just a false premise. Our world is easily distinguishable because free will does not exist

i think the world should be 60% democracy and 40% dictatorship since people are exploiting democracy to do what they want

This assumes we arrest people purely for punishment when we don’t. We want them to be taken away to protect others, then have that person learn and re assimilate back into society which is better for everyone.

I agree that you “have” to live as is if it’s real. However, no matter what, you have no choice in how you’re going to live. Also, either we will punish people for committing crimes or we won’t. Nothing we are actually going to do with a choice will change that. Because there is no free will…

Repercussion for crimes is about preventing them from happening again in the future. It’s not about free will

The problem is conflating the idea of free will with making a choice. You can make choices without free will. The problem is that given the same circumstances that you would make the same choice. Of course, if you change the circumstances then you would change peoples choices. Free will and choice are two different entities that must be considered differently. They shouldn’t be complete synonyms for each other. That’s how conflating the idea occurs.

free will its real, its just not a 50-50 choice, you current choice is based on the last 100 previous choices youve made on that thing

If you can use your "WILL" to change your habits, you have free will. Example : Quit smoking and replace it with a sport.

Saying that free will is a complete illusion oversimplifies how human awareness actually works, we are not fully controlled like stones falling because of gravity and we are not completely free or detached from reality either we live somewhere in between we have limits and biology that shape us but we also have a real conscious space where we can choose decide and direct our behavior والله تعالى أعلم

this is a self defeating argument. You can only believe someone 'SHOULD' do something if they have a choice in the matter. If there is no free will, people will either act or not act like they have free will, but they cant choose whether they will or not, you cant say there is a choice they 'should' make

That undermine the point. If someone would do crime because the punishment is lessened then a decision was made. Free will happened. If free will doesn’t exist a person would still do the crime no matter what the punishment it. Because they were always going to it
