listened to Southgate in an interview 7 months ago. he was offered a contract extension by the FA in the run up to Euro 24 but he turned it down knowing what had happened to previous managers who'd accepted the deal. we didn't deserve Southgate, 2nd greatest England manager of all time and let down by player mentality.

Look i would of absolutely loved seeing our boys winning the World Cup and bringing it home and it is heartbreaking don’t get me wrong but 3rd place isn’t meaningless 3rd place is better than 4th 5th and 6th at the end of the day and its not just about the glory it’s about the journey and the journey is about to end so enjoy the last game we get to see our boys represent us one last time for a while just sit back grab a beer relax and the game no pressure just straight up tradition fun football

i’ll never understand the moaning about the third place match. it’s been in every world cup minus two or three, ever. no one is above it. play the game, maybe try for a golden boot, accept the result, move on.
