decapacitate the capacitor first. It stores high volts that may electrocut you badly and may cause death. In most cases its the thermal fuse

before touching the wires connected to the magnetron first discharge the HV capacitor. this is serious violation of the code n that of the community guidelines. the magnetron still connected is part of the HV component
