What makes this story unique is that the female lead is the villain from the very beginning, without reincarnation or time regression. I think it's a beautifully written story with amazing psychological depth. Every character is morally gray and flawed, but not everyone is willing to accept that.

yall want complex characters but can't understand Thalia 🥀 nobody in this novel is completely innocent, but the way she acts it's because of her circumstances, the same with Varkas, how can you blame him for not loving Ayla when her mother put a curse on him (WHEN HE WAS A KID) that ruined his life, he always respected her as his fiance lol but he took the first chance he had to marry the girl he really loves

The "heroine" is essentially a villainess with a backstory that grants her a free pass to mistreat others without facing criticism—simply because she has suffered so much, she feels entitled to do whatever she pleases. But does having a hard childhood really justify hurting other people? Is that something others should have to bear the consequences for? If I've misunderstood anything, please feel free to point it out, but please be polite

the "trash fiancée" you are talking about is a human who's emotion was stolen from him. he can't even see colors and can only taste the copper of blood. its not his fault that he doesn't have a feeling for Ayla because in the first place, THE RESPONSIBILITY OF TAKING CARE OF THE TWINS WAS CURSED INTO HIM BY THE WEAK FORMER EMPRESS WHO K!LLED HERSELF FOR THE EMPEROR'S ATTENTION

I disagree because we have a million manhwa where the female lead is like Alta and we get her POV. Forgotten Field is unique in my opinion with its choice of a mean, unpleasant female lead. It's why I keep reading it despite being frustrated with it. Talia is a unique female lead that I don't see often and she makes for an interesting read.

Some fans hate the previous empress because she poisoned herself “for a man” ignoring her perspective and every emotional aspect of her but they are the same that justify thalia? She’s exactly the same or even worse she does everything (at some point) just because she wants varkas attention, she mostly hates Ayla because of varkas, I swear he’s not that interesting in the story for this women having to fight for him, it’s such a lame excuse 💀

My opinion would be this manhwa would be infinitely better when they have TWO FL with dual POV with Ayla and Thalia. The Author fumbled her story so bad. We could have both sisters once opposite side of the story, initially devided because of the love from ML, but eventually had to joined hands together to toppled the emperor and the evil queen. They both get their own happy endings, with Ayla becomea the empress and Thalia get to have the love of her life. Both overcome their past differences to seek justice for themselves. L

i think it’s better than someone like ayla being mc cuz there’s a billion manwhas like that, this is at least a little different but where’s the growth it’s just the same thing with the mc suffering again and again like it’s becoming slop

In my case, I'm reading mainly because Thalia is the protagonist and, in a way, the "villain." If it were her sister, I'd find her point of view boring and force myself to read just because of Thalia. If she weren't the protagonist, I don't know, I'm getting tired of perfect or naive protagonists who act flawlessly. I like it because the protagonist makes mistakes and is very human. Nobody in her situation would be a saint. I'm not saying it would be impossible for someone to be good, but most would be bad or worse than Thalia.

I think some people only like Thalia and Senevier because they are so beautiful.... Now I'm not generalizing their every fan. I know that some liked Thalia for her sad backstory and some respects Senevier for her willingness to do anything for her goals. I just find it hard to like them: Thalia is pretty mean and would attempt to kill Ayla if given the chance (Yes, I know her tragic backstory. It's just hard to like her when she is mad at Ayla for "stealing" Varkas) and then there's Senevier who doesn't even care for Thalia. No matter how much of a "baddie" a woman is, if she is a mother, she better act like a good mother, may they be real or fictional. Let's be honest: This manhwa will most likely not have Thalia going against her mother because Thalia benefits from her mother's plans. If her mother succeeds, her little brother is the crown prince and she is a respected princess. Ayla and Gareth, whom she despises, will become illegitimate and useless in politics, making it easier to have them removed from the mortal realm. i really hope it will be a better ending

I would honestly like Thalia even more if it was in Ayla’s pov. Like imagine seeing Thalia as a real villain in Ayla’s eyes yet also seeing Thalia getting abused left and right without an explanation. Supporting characters like that are always intriguing since not much is said abt them as side characters.

Yup. Every story is just about who's perspective it is. The story would unravel based on their pov and the readers without critical thinking would get MC syndrome and mindlessly make the MC a saint even though he / she is straight up a villain / villainess. In this story, Thalia is being portrayed more like a villainess, that's why her behavior is mostly so irritating. But so many readers excuses her abusive behavior just because of her poor upbringing, glossing over her behavior just because she's the MC. While Ayla, despite not even a villainess of the story, received so much hate just because she's not a simp for Thalia who is the daughter of her father's mistress and also the person that had been harassing her. Shallow minded readers would always have the MC syndrome and it's super annoying
