I think it would be more realistic to call them stellantis cars instead of French cars bc the main problems are a stellantis problem and not a French problem (Renault as a counter example)

More comfortable? thats up for debate having sat in the 306, 307 and 206 for many years, sat in the 208 from 2015 and interior just feels a lot more cramped and less spacious. Suspension filters a lot out but not as communicative.

Modern Peugeots are easily as well built and I’d argue use better materials than modern VW’s and I say this as a VW fan.. we can’t be pretending otherwise. The ID cars, Golf, T-Roc etc all have mid/average build and loads of scratchy cheap plastics all over the interior’s.
