I think gen x doesnt know but also they dont care, all the gen x people i know love ai and dont care about its impact. But to be fair there is a ton of brainrotty gen z ai music but i think way more gen z people are against it

I’m not sure that Gen X’ers are actively listening to AI music, as in they’re seeking it out and putting it on. I think Gen X just has more music streaming subscriptions than the other generations because we have more money and older people are using the radio still. it’s just on in the background a lot when we’re working or “chillmaxxxing”. lol. I’m a musician, so I’m pretty hip to it and I can usually tell with a fair degree of accuracy when it’s AI and I always hit Skip to try to get it out of my algorithm, but it’s also so prevalent. If I had to guess I would say that somewhere between 40% to 50% of all new songs uploaded are AI. Maybe more.
