In the 1997 version, Odysseus was played by Albanian-American actor Armand Assante. And now, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey uses Albanian folk music, Iso-Polyphony. History speaks for itself. Albanian culture keeps showing up in these ancient stories. Politics may try to hide or erase it, but history lives on through language, music, and tradition. Albanians are the Indians of Europe. You can change borders and rewrite history books, but you cannot erase a people's culture or heritage. History always finds its way back.
