Sometime it can be the 12volt battery that needs to be replaced or charged that can cause this issue. Fun fact most Mercedes cars has two batteries.

You think it’s your battery ? I had a Chrysler 200 that did the same thing it’ll die but I can still drive it then it’ll go back to the speed it was at and had to get a new battery cause it was getting drained

My friends GLC300 has done this and the check engine just STAYS on. However the dealership just says it’s a glitch or a software update every time he has gone with the dealership. I’d hate to see the day something serious actually happens
