Being verbally abused, neglected and shamed for simply existing had to happen to make me grow?....That actually prevented me from growing, I felt like I shrunk, I used to have a great mind, now I'm forgetful because I used forgetting as a way to cope

Losing both parents before college shattered me. But it also made me believe in myself and handle things I didn’t think I could. I realized it’s not age that makes you mature, it’s the lessons, in both good and bad times. Those lessons complete us. Everything happens for a reason. So enjoy every part of it.

It didn't help me grow. It made me get stuck in time. And the worst part is that I still feel like a scared little girl but physically I'm no longer a little girl, and I don't have the right to act like one anymore
