@elevateherincome: I know what it’s like to smile through playtime while your mind is somewhere else… Calculating bills. Wondering how you’re going to make everything stretch. Trying to be present while silently carrying the pressure of providing. I remember sitting on the floor playing Barbies with my girls, but mentally I was replaying numbers in my head. “How are we going to pay for this?” “What if something unexpected happens?” “Lord… there has to be another way.” That wasn’t the kind of motherhood I was praying for. Sometimes God doesn’t answer our prayers by removing the pressure overnight. Sometimes He answers them by opening a door we’ve never considered and inviting us to walk through it in faith. For me, that door was learning a new skill. It didn’t make motherhood perfect. The laundry still piles up. The meltdowns still happen. Life is still beautifully messy. But I’m no longer living in survival mode. I’m more present because my mind isn’t constantly trapped by financial fear.
