Consent in my eyes comes in two forms. nonverbal consent, such as a hug or kiss between partners that had ALREADY been established that you dont need to ask for, it is MUTUAL, nonverbal consent. Then there is verbal, that you SHOULD have to ask for, such as sex or touching. These can be different for different relationships; touching can be either, it just depends on the relationship and the boundaries set by the two (or more) people involved.

we are taught as little boys that we males dont deserve to have consent, we have to do whatever a woman wants us to do even if it gets us injured, so there is that, we get taught we arent ALLOWED to say no
