I have had a Home Binder for almost 20+ years. I keep everything in it. Each family member has their own section, I add all documents, all doctor’s names/numbers. When the kids buy their own house and move out, I transfer it to them a binder for their home. In the Home section is all accounts, numbers , and passwords. This binder never just lays around the house, it’s always locked in a safe. It’s something that needs taught in school.

As opposed to a binder which requires setup, I use a file binder thing lie this. Just throw the important stuff in. I have a section for IDs bank statements and appliance manuals and insurance

I also recommend getting a fireproof box to put that binder in! You can get one on Amazon for under $50! 100% worth having!

I use those clear closed envelopes to hold my students’ tests with a grade sheet. I can use a post it note to indicate who was absent. They go inside right away. So visible. Love them!
