we as muslims don’t believe they’re “disgusting”, if someone has that opinion it’s theirs but islam doesn’t say so,, the prophet said dogs don’t allow angels to enter where they are. Scholars are finding multiple explanations for this, regardless i’ll obv go as a muslim follow what my prophet is sayinh as god told us to listen to the prophet pbuh. Lots of muslims have dogs and cats and evedhthing but they’re not allowed in the prayer room. the prophet once had a dog, but the angels told him that they cant go into his house because of the dog when he asked why the angels explained that they are impure and not as clean as for example cats because cats clean themselves and are cleaner in general whereas dogs saliva is impure and dirty... i might not be 100 percent right but yeah ❤️❤️

Honestly that hadith baffled me. Like, in the Quran a dog is a companion and friend to the people of the cave (Ahl Al-kahf أهل الكهف) and was a guardian. Hunting with trained dogs is also allowed. Yet somehow they're not allowed in the home? Dude. A dog was with these people and was seen as a good being. No way this hadith is really true.
