over here in the Philippines it's the complete opposite, there's unpredictable checkpoints, most modded motorcycles are pulled over meanwhile a Honda Civic with a straight pipe just passes through

I have never understood wanting your car to be loud. I have always thought it sounds like you have a problem with it. And I will always prefer a quiet drive so much so I will be buying electric my next car.

the "loud pipes saves lives" movement would not be needed if them bikers for f sake follow traffic laws. we don't have to be able to hear you 1 mile away on highway going over speed limit and you to pass us like trees. drive normal and you are safe anyway.

I've always thought that was biased and bullshit. A motorcycle can have short, straight pipes, but cars have to be quiet? Hell, semis can have straight pipes and jake brake every damn shift and stop. 🙄

Nah, if you are loud on purpose, you should be fined until you reduce the noise. You gotta share in the pain that you're inflicting to everyone else at least monetarily.

Nah, modify your exhaust to be loud and the fine should be extremely painful…. It’s a dumb modification and anyone making it deserves the painful fine that goes with it

the motorcycles safety argument at least makes some sense. still hate the noise pollution and think there's gotta be better solutions but it at least makes sense. people in cars though being intentionally loud can kick rocks they have no excuse.🥥🥥 it doesn't sound good or cool it's just a nuisance. it's different for race cars being driven in a race but if you're on public roadways you shouldn't be so loud for no good reason

I will say as someone who went from stock hog pipes to aftermarket, louder pipes, the amount of cars that get over in my lane on me or almost hit me has gone down dramatically

This wouldn’t be an issue if cities installed sound readers when anywhere near where people live. Anything louder than a certain sound and boom, just like speed cameras, you get a ticket in the mail with a massive fine.
