I just bought this machine. My bobbin cover won't stay locked down. Switched bobbins thinking that was my problem. Still won't stay locked down???? Help please

I just purchased this machine. I am a very novice sewist and I am planning to make a gown for a black tie wedding and wanted a machine that I could slow down the speed. Question (I haven't gotten my hands on the machine yet).... does the machine have the option to drop the feed dogs?

Even my 1911 Singer 66 has a thread cutter. I’ve never used a machine without one.

Sold my Juki as soon as I got it (as a gift) because it was computerized… they lag and sew completely different. I had over 20 years experience… Please be sure to know not all machines are not beginner friendly 😅 or will actually help you learn the basics properly

Yes!! I spent most of my life with a mechanical Singer, and i avoided it cause i hated the whole bobbin situation. Then i got a brother se700, drop in bobbin, thread cutter and all the things. Plus basic embroidery. So easy and fun. 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰
