I was a self taught artist for the longest time and I’m gonna be so honest. As soon as I started taking art classes i improved so fast. Honestly the only tip you need to improve is to do figure drawings and life drawings, and stop using the eraser so much or don’t use it at all, use a pen.

My best way to getting out of this inconsistency is to develop a template. Try to develop style finding way to help you virtualise shape and perspective in 3D after that everything is going to be easy. The trick is always find a way to make you brain understand the 3d space, teach it what is normal and what is weird. If you made bad base put it into 10% opacity and study it, why is this look weird and if you can’t find anything wrong take some break, eat and find some activity to distract yourself from drawing because you might be experiencing stress which is the element most likely causing you to have art block.
