I HATE that people bullied her into changing her mind! She was not wrong at all. The little girl crossed SEVERAL legal boundaries to reach out to her. If she can't respect those boundaries she is not going to follow any boundary she is going to set for the future.

I'm adopted. I found my bio mom. She was furious the state opened up closed adoption records. She wanted that chapter to stay closed. I understand the egg donor, and I understand the child. We yearn for a connection to those who are biologically related to us. No one is wrong here. Results may vary.

If it was fully anonymous then the other parents shouldn’t even know who donated the egg at all no name no nothing if it was semi anonymous the parents and the donor only know names of each other and only have contact if both decide the agency isn’t allowed to give out information about a donor without consent so whoever is saying the donor is in the wrong or that she decided to do this knowing the consequences why aren’t u asking how tf they got her info if it was anonymous because that’s a breach of contract if she signed one saying no contact

I feel for them both. No, she’s not her mother. No, she’s not obligated to comfort her. However, the original response could be crushing to someone who would like to know more about their history and biology. To me, the clinic is to blame for this tough situation.
